Livestock Preventive Care
Vaccination and parasite prevention are important to all animals, especially when it comes to livestock. Our veterinarians can consult with you on which vaccination programs are necessary for your animals. Vaccinations, deworming, wellness exams, and other preventive care are given both at our clinic and at your home or farm as part of our ambulatory care service.

Importance of Vaccines
Viral infections, such as BVD, IBR, PI3, and BRSV cause outbreaks in the U.S. that leave animals with symptoms that can reduce production efficiency.
Your core vaccination schedule for 2-4 month old calves should include the following.
• Black Leg (Nine Way Clostridial)
• BVD, IBR, PI3, and BRSV
Your vaccination schedule for cattle 6 months and older should include.
• Black Leg (Nine Way) once yearly
• Lepto twice yearly
• Respiratory once yearly
• Brucellosis (females between 4-12 months old)
• Deworming 2-3 times per year
Other vaccines including but not limited to pinkeye and anaplasmosis may be beneficial to your herd.

Small ruminants and pigs require proper vaccination and examinations to maintain their health’s integrity. Our veterinarians provide vaccinations, parasite prevention, and wellness exams to your livestock both at our clinic and at your home or farm as part of our ambulatory care service.
