Our Vision
History of Animal Medical Center
Dr. Gloyd Miller founded Animal Medical Center in 1974 at its current location on Peak Boulevard in Muskogee. Dr. Tim Synar joined the practice 1976, and became co-owner in 1977.
In 2015, Dr. Matthew Walkup purchased the practice and merged his Farm Call Vet ambulatory large animal practice with Animal Medical Center. Drs. Synar and Miller remained with the practice as associates. In 2016, Dr. Stefani Barnett joined the practice as an equine associate, and Dr. Miller retired in October of that year.
Since Animal Medical Center was founded, the owners have continually adopted new technologies and equipment as they became available, making Animal Medical Center one of the best equipped veterinary facilities in the area. Our doctors, technicians, and assistants all stay abreast of new advances in veterinary medicine to ensure that every patient receives the best possible care.
